January 2015

EVENT – Saturday, January 24th, Boat to The Pub Waterfront Restaurant Each Winter, the Boat Club goes to The Pub in Indian Shores for food and drinks. Be there by 2 pm. We will be on the North Deck, weather permitting or inside. We will also have the Coast Guard Auxiliary there for free safety inspections. Everyone is welcome to come by boat or car.  Everyone is welcome to come by boat or car. February 2015

EVENT – Sunday, February 15th, Island Way Grill Brunch (11 am) Mark your calendar NOW!
The Boat Club goes to Island Way Grill on Island Estates for their Sunday Brunch. They have several floating docks. We normally sit together outside, on the south patio. The cost is $23 per person and includes free mimosa. If you have never been there for Sunday Brunch, it is a must do. They have everything. YOU MUST RSVP for this event by phone  (727) 430-8300 or via e-mail: bob@irbboatclub.com 
CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT – Saturday & Sunday February 21-22  Sea Blues Festival
This two day outdoor concert is held in Clearwater’s Coachman Park, . This is not really a Boat Club event, but you can go there by boat and a lot of us do. Overnight docking is very limited, but transient day docking is usually available. Get more info at www.ClearwaterSeaBlues.com.

March 2015

EVENT – Saturday,  March 7 (2 pm), Salt Rock Grill
The Boat Club will spend the afternoon at Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores enjoying great food and drinks. Be there by 2pm. We will be on the waterfront deck. They open one hour early this day just for us. Come by boat or car.
BOAT SHOW – Saturday & Sunday March 13 – 15
This is the Tropicana Field show
EVENT Saturday, March 15th, Intracoastal Clean Up (8 a.m.)
We clean up the Intracoastal waterway and its islands twice a year. If you don’t have a boat, you can hop on someone else’s but we do need more boats. Meet at the 15th Avenue Boat Ramp in Indian Rocks Beach. Low tide that day is at 7:05am.

April 2015

new2EVENT – Saturday & Sunday,  April 11 & 12 (2 pm), Caladesi Marina Picnic and Overnight
The Boat Club will host a picnic at a shelter in the Caladesi Marina. Everyone is invited to spend the afternoon cooking and enjoy the spring weather. Bring a dish to share and something whatever you would like to cook on their grills. Be there by noon. Those that want to, can spend the night in the marina.
Day slips: $6.00 per boat for up to 8 people, $2.00 for each additional person.
Overnight Fees: $1.00 per foot, tax included. T-Docks are $2.00 per foot, tax included.
Florida residents 65 and older pay half price for overnight rates.
Marina Electric Usage Fee: $7.00 for day use.

May 2015

new2EVENT – Saturday, May 2nd, IRB Boat Docks Fish Fry
Details will be announced as we get closer to the event. Everyone will meet at the floating docks for fried fish and all the fixin’s. Volunteers will be needed to help set up, cook the fish and serve. BYOB
May 18-26 Safe Boating Week
The week prior to Memorial Day weekend is safe boating week. Get your boat inspected and have a safe summer of boating

June 2015

new2EVENT – Saturday, June 6th, Beginning-of-Boating Island Party (3 p.m.)
It is time for our FIRST Island Party of the season! Our End Of Summer Island party is so popular, we decided to add a second one this year – the Boat Club’s Summer Kick Off island party. Plan to enjoy sunset on the small island at the north end of IRB and stay as long as you like… there may be quite a few boats, so get there early for prime anchoring position. A community grill will be provided; bring a dish to share, your own refreshments and meat/seafood to grill.

July 2015

CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT  – July Fourth Island Party (4pm), Fireworks (9:15pm)
Over the years, members have been meeting on One Tree Island about one mile south of the Memorial Causeway Bridge. Bring your own food and drink and grill if you need it. They usually start showing up about 4pm. Then after sunset, you can watch the fireworks from the island or move closer to the bridge.
EVENT –  July 11, Sunday, 1 pm Caladesi Island PartyBoat Club 2014
This popular beach event is moving back to the original location on the Gulf side of the island.  Look for our Banner after 1pm.  High Tide is 8:30 am with a low tide at 3:40 pm. As of now there is a 40% chance of rain – normal summer weather. The water will be warm and we have a good time in and out of the water. No Dogs are allowed in the State Park. Shown here is some of the group from a previous year’s Caladesi Island Party.

August 2015

new2EVENT – August 8-9, Three Rooker Bar Island Party and Overnight
While we have been going to Three Rooker for years, we are going to try something different. You can come either Saturday or Sunday and meet for the day, playing in the water. Bring your own food and drink and grill if you need it. Those that want to can spend Saturday night and play for two days.
CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT – August 29, Geckofest 
Each year, Gulfport,  celebrates the end of summer with its largest festival of the year, dedicated to the town’s unofficial mascot and favorite reptile. You can boat down for the day or spend the night in the Gulfport City Marina.

September 20152014 Clean Up

CLEANUP – Saturday, September 12th – Intracoastal Clean-up (8 am)
We’ll see all those who love our waters at the 15th Avenue Boat Ramp! If you want to help but don’t have a boat, show up and hop aboard someone else’s vessel!
 2014 End of Summer Party
EVENT – Saturday, September 19th, End-of-Summer Island Party (3 p.m.)
It’s the Boat Club’s seventh annual farewell to summer . Plan to party hearty until after sunset on the small island at the north end of IRB. This is one of the biggest Boat Club bashes of the year and draws about 100 folks…so get there early for prime anchoring position. A community grill and paper products will be provided; bring a dish to share, your own refreshments and meat/seafood to grill.
CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT – Sunday,  September 27th, Clearwater Super Boat Races
The main race for this national championship is on Sunday, 9/27. The marina is usually full but you can get on the waiting list or just come out for the seafood festival and an action-packed day of fun!

October 2015

CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT – Thursday – Sunday,  October 15-19th, Clearwater Jazz Holiday
This four day outdoor concert is held in Clearwater’s Coachman Park . While not really a Boat Club event, you can go there by boat and a lot of us do. Overnight docking is very limited, but transient day docking is usually available.
EVENT – Saturday, October 24th, Stone Crab Festival/Clearwater Beach (1 pm) Plan to dock at the city owned docks by the library where members will be meeting at 1 pm. From there they will go to the street festival.

November 2015

CHANCE TO USE YOUR BOAT – Saturday, November 8th, Veterans Boat Parade (11 am)
Save the date! Details to follow!
new2EVENT -Saturday, November 14th, IRB Boat Docks Triangle Bar Crawl       (1 pm)  More details to follow, but the day will involve a group bar crawl starting at the floating docks and going to five local restaurants within the business triangle. You will not be required to buy something at each locations.

December 2015
