HELP WANTED

contentAs many know, Becky and I have been running the club for the last 10 years. We have no Vice President or Board of Directors to help, and we really don’t need one. However, with our schedule, we are beginning to have trouble attending all the events and the occasional meeting.

To continue having monthly boating events, we are looking for volunteers to help host the events. Everything will be set up for you in advance, and the date of the event can work around your schedule. A hosts’ main duty is to meet and greet members so they know where the group is and maybe coordinate a group photo. Hosts can sign up for one or more individual events.

We will still plan the meetings and events, we just need help hosting, when we are not available. If anyone is willing to donate some time and get more involved with the club’s  events and/or meetings, please email me, Bob Griffin at bob@griffindirectories.com.

IRB BOAT CLUB CHRISTMAS CARD

Merry Christmas!

santa_boat-christmas-card-complete

Last year, the Indian Rocks Beach Executive Committee has reinvented the city’s Holiday Card Program. City organizations and businesses designed the 4 foot tall Christmas Cards that were installed around the city.

Each organization is designing and paying for their own. The Boat Club’s card was designed and painted by members Linda Newton and Larry Gerwig. Look for it in front of the Indian Rocks Post Office.

FALL 2017 INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY CLEAN-UP

The Club held their Fall Intracoastal cleanup in October. With our recent storms, there was quite a bit of trash on our islands and once again we filled a dumpster.

Thank you to everyone that showed up to help.
